From interviews with plastic surgeons to former Bravo Housewives, I’ve written about it. But it wasn’t the article on 8 Self-Care Tips To Make Taxes Less Taxing that went viral, it was a personal essay about my experience with a teratoma tumor and the greater outlook on womens’ healthcare that resonated across the internet. The article surpassed Kardashian coverage, was translated in 5 different languages, and landed an interview segment on the Today Show.
Shortly after my personal essay gained traction and appeal across media platforms, a Netflix TV show used a teratoma tumor as a plot point. I’m not saying they were influenced by my article, but I’m not not saying that.
